Card of The Format

Fiendish Chain, hands down.

What do you think?

Fiendish Chain is cool, but whenever I activate it, I have a fear that my opponent will just Chain Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it and push through their effect. It hasn't happened yet, but it's bound to eventually, I suppose.

But yes, it is a great card.

Completely agree sometimes it acts even as pseudo warning

Haha I have to disagree. I think BLS is the defining card of the format as it has shaped the structure of many decks since its 'release'.

Well, what do you mean by card of the format? As in a "bad" card that is surprisingly good? Then yeah, that title belongs to Fiendish Chain, a card that was written off when Mystical Space Typhoon was unlimited, only to shoot up in popularity. Or a card that defined this format and will be the card that people remember when they think of the September 2011 format? Then that title belongs to Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. It is sort of hard to argue since all you did was post a title and half a sentence, then claim because two people agreed with you, that is enough to justify your post.

@ lost blue breaker- Usually some formats have certain cards to remember it by, whereby that card is used only because it is viable in that format, but forgotten next format. so im referring to fiendish chain.
